INTRODUCING the NEW UPDATED EDITION of HUNGRY FOR PARIS

October 12, 2010

HungryForParis_reprint

I’m delighted to announce that the new updated edition of Hungry for Paris was released by Random House at the end of September.

In this revision, I’ve stayed true to my original intention in writing this book, which is to offer a very tightly edited, rigorously tested and absolutely delicious selection of those restaurants that I think both Parisians and visitors to the city will enjoy the most. These range from traditional bistros to haute cuisine places, and, in the new edition, several recent contemporary French bistros that are truly excellent. Among the restaurants that have left the book are Mon Vieil Ami–I still like the food there, but I had too many letters from readers telling me about poor service or serious problems with reservations; Bath’s, which has closed; and D’Chez Eux, where an ownership change has had a big impact on the food and atmosphere of a place I used to love.

I hope you will enjoy the new edition, and am very happy to be able to continue to share my passion for good for in Paris with fellow food-lovers.

Best regards, Alec
