Hi Alexander,

Just wanted to tell you that your review of La Clairiere was much more helpful to me than others I've read recently on-line (seems like you have a fellow blogger who follows your foot-prints in the snow in a very major way...ah-hum). We went for lunch and had a really nice time, and as you said, it's not a place to go for an important gastronomic experience but a very good take on casual old-fashioned French eating. I like innocuous little neighborhood restaurants, too, and wish I had the time to cover them more often--sometimes you find a real gem. Haven't been back to Aux Sources since ownership change, but it's always crowded, which is a good sign. Best, Alec

Thanks for posting about the innocuous looking La Clairiere. Like you I have passed by it dozens of times and hardly given it a look, but will soon as we will again be neighbors for 2 months starting mext week. I love critiques of decent little neighborhood places as they are so less favored than the big names that everyone covers. Have you had a chance to check out aux Sources since the change over?lt;/p>
