Thanks for this review, which I'm guessing has saved me a bundle.
We went to the bar at the Royal Monceau for drinks, liked a lot and thought of going back to try La Cuisine, but from your write-up it doesn't sound like our kind of place, and I don't want to make the same mistake I made when I went to lunch in the restaurant at the new Shangri-La Hotel, very expensive and pretty ordinary food.
