I am delighted you had such a good meal here Alec!!! I had a memorable lunch here in March 2011, friendly and warm service, simple food perfectly cooked, just-ripe St. Marcellin ... so pleasant! The wine geek in me insists on pointing out their very fairly-priced and quirky list with unusual bottles and many weekly specials. I am glad to see it prospers and I wil be back soon.

Un mille merci, Alec. We will vist next week(13th-28th), staying in the Marais and will defenitely try this. Good bistros in Paris are harder it seems to find each time we visit. We often pay top $$ for what turns out to be nediocre food, but have always found your reccommendations spot on. We always have enjoyed Chez Janou in the past.
Have you any experience with the dinners Jim Haynes hosts on Sunday evenings?lt;/p>

Le Temps des Cerises sounds exactly like the kind of Bistro that I would love. Besides my cousins live in the Marais so it will be a great place to go try when I am there this fall. Thanks for sharing.
