Sorry you had such an unhappy experience here, Jane. Unfortunately, I recently returned to this restaurant for lunch after a long absence–something I often do to keep my posts up-to-date–and had a very disappointing meal as well. Service is chaotic, but what troubles me the most about this place is the total absence of generosity in the plate. Best, Alec

We visited this restaurant in April, 2014 – several years ago we had visited the Buerehiesel in Strasbourg and had a beautiful meal, served by very hospitable people. I agree whole heartedly with the comment ‘this restaurant felt as though the entire menu had been pushed through a
very expensive computer-generated cost-analysis program at least five
times before they unlocked the front doors for the first time.’ Just like most of the ‘high end’ restaurants in Sydney Australia. We sat at the bar, (scuse me, but we didn’t fly 24,000 kms, to pay those prices to watch someone do their job), got served miserly portions of admittedly very nice food by the robo-waiters, felt the chill in the air and the total lack of hospitality and left, much poorer and very disgruntled. We won’t be returning. This place, to us, was a rip off. What a shame.
